Where our graduates are?
A recent analysis conducted on the current occupations of the passed out graduates from the Department of Plant Sciences revealed that 36 graduates out of 79(total number passed out from 2002-2008) are in the academic sector. The 79 graduates comprised of 38 Plant Biotechnology, 36 Plant Science and 05 Bioinformatics (inaugural batch) special degree graduates. Furthermore the analysis revealed that they are largely occupied in 7 different fields namely academic, administration and management, secondary education, research and marketing. Out of the employed graduates 48% are working for government institutions while the rest is holding positions in private institutions.
