The Dept of Chemistry, University of Colombo plans to make available the following products and services to the Scientific community in Universities, Research Institutions and Industry in Sri Lanka.

The Department of Chemistry has a well equipped Molecular Biology laboratory. Our team of dedicated scientists consisting of faculty members with years of experience and expertise in diverse specialties will provide solutions to your problems.

All reagents are made from Molecular Biology Grade chemicals
● Tris buffer (1M) pH 7.5, 8.0, 8.3
● EDTA (Ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid (0.5M pH 8.0)
● Sodium dodecyl
sulphate (10%)
● Sodium acetate (3M, pH 5.2)
● Gel loading buffers
● 40 x TAE buffer
● 10 x TBE buffer
● Ethidium bromide (10 mg/ml)
