Certificate Course in Analytical Chemistry

Learning and teaching resources

Anyone is permitted to follow one or more modules listed under Course contents and become eligible for a certificate issued by the Head of the Department of Chemistry.

Certificate Aims

The aims of the Certificate Course are to

Provide ‘in-service’ training in any area of Analytical Chemistry appropriate to an individuals needs

Enable the student to gain experience in the use of modern analytical techniques

Enable the student to gain knowledge in a particular area of Analytical Chemistry based on the need of the person and/or his/her institution

Produce persons possessing sound knowledge and/or practical experience in a particular area of Analytical Chemistry

Course structure

Students can offer any one or more modules listed under Course contents. Each theory module includes approximately 16 hours of lectures and other teaching activities as appropriate. Each practical module is approximately 40 hours of laboratory work.
