The Stat Circle is a society formed by the students of the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, with the intention of enhancing the statistical knowledge of the students and bridging the gap between the industry and the academia. As the commercial use of statistics becomes vital in the industry, the students as well as the industry needs to become aware of current and best practices. The Stat Circle intends to address such issues and help the students as well as the industry in their pursuits.

- What does the Stat Circle do?
The singlemost major event organized by the Stat Circle is the Stat Day. In addition, the Stat Circle organizes numerous lectures and seminars for the students for university students as well the general public.
- How do I become a member of the Circle?
Being a student in the University of Colombo is the only criteria to join the Stat Circle. If you happen to be a student, you can come visit us in the Department of Statistics in the University of Colombo during any working day to obtain your membership. An year's membership costs SL Rs. 20.
