Housed in one of the historical buildings of University of Colombo, Museum of Natural History assembles, preserves, and exhibits scientific collections of zoological and entomological specimens. The Museum plays a pivitol role in undergraduate education and opens up ventures for research for students and staff. Museum provides specimens for undergraduate teaching as well as introduces specimen preservation and display techniques to the students. The overall mission is to facilitate teaching, research, and promote public education in natural sciences.
