Presidential Award for Research - Prof. Ramanie Jayatilaka - Department of Sociology - 2010 :Prof. Ramanie Jayatilaka was awarded the Presidential award for research in recognition for scientific research on the social perceptions of the impacts of Colombo water supply projects evaluated by peers and published in the year 2006 in an International Scientific Journal cited in the Science Citation Index.
