Islamic Civilization Unit
In the University of Colombo, after a lapse of about 15 years, teaching of this subject re-commenced once again in 1995 on the recommendation of the University Grant Commission. By introducing this course of studies, the university succeeded in minimizing one of the grievances of the Tamil medium students.
