		A field visit to Walasbedda Maha Vidyala, Badulla Faculty of Education, University of Colombo signs a Memorandum of Understanding with ASHLAND UNIVERSITY, United States. Book Launch by the students of Postgraduate Diploma in Education at Faculty of Education. The guest lecture by the Department of Educational Psychology on "Developing and validating self-report instruments" Applications will be entertained for POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN EDUCATION (TEACHING OF ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE) FULL TIME COURSE - 2012/2013. Lectures for the B.Ed(Part III)-2011/2012 will commence on 08th November 2011 The Annual Research Symposium of the Faculty of Education was held on 20th October 2011 at the Auditorium, Faculty of Education World Teachers' Day celebrated at the Faculty of Education on 06th October 2011. Kannangara memorial lecture organized by the Post Graduate Students of the Faculty of Education was held on 26th September 2011. Professor Marie Perera was awarded an AILA Solidarity Award by the International Association of Applied Linguistics (AILA). The Launching of the Diploma in Teacher Education for Global Learning took place at the British Council Auditorium on the 30th June 2011. Faculty of Education Collaborates with the Cambridge Foundation, UK and the British Council Colombo to offer the Diploma in Teacher Education for Global learning to Teachers of Global Partnership Progamme.
