Postgraduate teaching

Training for MD in community Medicine

Postgraduate training commitments of the department.

Staff of the department is involved in the postgraduate teaching activities of many disciplines.
Teaching in MD and MSc on community medicine programmes in the postgraduate institute of medicine is the principal commitment. Epidemiology, statistics and research methodology are some of the areas that the staff is experticed in teaching.

Post graduate training attachments

MD community Medicine Part 1 training
Three-four training placements are available for the trainees of the PGIM. Senior academic staffs are supervising the candidates who read for Masters in Community Medicine and research projects leading to thesis as partial fulfillment of MD Community Medicine part 2.

Other training facilities

Opportunities are available for electives appointments of the one month duration. This has to arranged by contacting the department through email: commed@med.cmb.ac.lk
