Objectives of the programme
- What is expected from the Intern Medical Officer (IMO) during the clinic (common presentations, skills required)
- What is expected from an IMO during a casualty (common presentations, skills required)
- Preparation for the ward round and how to present to consultants.
- Communication skills : with patients/relations, staff, over the phone communication with senior colleagues (with relevant examples)
- Documentation (with relevant examples)
- Contribution to research and academic activities of the ward
- Future development as a professional
- Any other relevant matters
