The Computer Studies Unit possesses 30 Multimedia computers for the use of the students for their academic purposes. These latest computers have Image Processing, Video Editing and 2D and 3D animation facilities.

1. COA 1 - Fundamentals of Computers & Operating Systems
2. COA 2 - Word Processing Applications
3. COA 3 - Spreadsheet & Presentation Design Applications
4. COA 4 - Data Base Management Systems
5. COA 5 - Introduction to computer Networks and use of Internet & E-Mail

Duration : 5 months Part time (On Sunday from 8.30am to 4.30pm)
Course Fee: Rs. 12,500.00
Target Group : School leavers at Advanced Level & Office staff working in computer based office environments.
Registration Procedure :Duly filled applications (available at the Sri Palee Campus) together with the Registration fee in cash payable to the "Sri Palee Services Centre Fund" should be handed over to the Accounts Branch, Sri PAlee Campus University of Colombo , at least one week before the commencement of the courese. Payments could be made on Weekdays from 9.00 am to 3.30 pm Only.

Information Technology Unit established in 1999 functions under the Department of Mass Media. The IT Unit offers course units in computer studies to all the undergraduates as a service course. The aim of these course units isto provide the undergraduates with a knowledge of information technology.
