Inauguration of the Asia Pacific Masters Degree in Human Rights and Democratisation

The Faculty of Law, University of Colombo conducting with the Centre for the Study of Human Rights (CSHR) inaugurated the Asia Pacific Masters Degree Programme on Human Rights and Democratisation. The inauguration ceremony was held on Friday the 20th of January 2014 at 03.00 p.m. at the Senate Hall, College House, University of Colombo. This programme which is a first of its kind in the University of Colombo and funded by the EU is being offered in collaboration with the University of Sydney (Australia), Gadja Mada University (Indonesia), Kathmandu Law School (Nepal) and Mahidol University (Thailand). HE Mr David Daly (Head of EU Delegation for Sri Lanka and Maldives), Ms Chloe Ashbolt (Second Secretary, High Commission of Australia) and many other ambassadors and high commissioners participated as invitees. This year, six students from different countries have enrolled for the Second Semester at the University of Colombo.
