Launch of a "Dictionary of Sinhala Spelling"

The launch of  Sinhala Akshara Vinyasa Akaradiya ( A Dictionary of Sinhala Spelling – Fourth Revised Edition ) authored by Professor Sandagomi Coperahewa, Department of Sinhala | University of Colombo was held  on 31st March 2016, 3.00 pm at the M.B. Ariyapala auditorium Department of Sinhala , University of Colombo.

Senior Professor Lakshman Dissanayake, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Colombo graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour and Emeritus Professor J B Dissnayaka presided over the function.  Mr. Dhamma Dissanayaka , Senior Lecturer | Dept of Political Science and Public Policy and Mr. Jayath Piyadasun – Journalist | Silumina Editorial delivered  special lectures.  Deans of the faculties, Professors, other invitees  and students attended the function. This revised fourth edition of Sinhala Akshara Vinyasa Akaradiya is a Godage Publication and it provides an updated, alphabetically y arranged spelling list for Sinhala language users.
