Branch Library - Peradeniya.

A branch library of the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine lactated at the Teaching Hospital, Peradeniya premises was established in 1985. It aimed to fulfill information needs of postgraduate trainees and other medical professionals attached to hospitals in and around Kandy and Peradeniya. This is the main educational resource center for doctors of central region of Sri Lanka

The collection consists of around 1500 volumes of textbooks, MCQs and other material required for postgraduate medical education. The Library possesses a CD/DVD collection of around 175. It has a journal back issue collection and receives 20 learned journals.

	General Membership : Open to PGIM Trainees and any Medical Officer registered with Sri Lanka Medical Council. The membership card is valid for use at Colombo PGIM library as well. The annual membership fee is Rs. 1000/=.
	Borrowing Membership : Doctors with general membership are eligible for borrowing membership with a refundable deposit of Rs. 7,500/=.
	PGIM Academic Staff membership : PGIM Academic staff members are eligible for the use of the library and for borrowing on the recommendation of the respective boards of study
